The pharmacopoeia does not clearly point out the adverse effects of Salvia divinorum, and there is no relevant literature or research pointing out the harm of long-term use of Salvia divinorum in men. Salvia miltiorrhiza should not be used in combination with Veratrum. Salvia divinorum is contraindicated in women with excessive menstruation without blood stasis. Pregnant women are advised to use this product with caution.
Salvia miltiorrhiza belongs to heart meridian and liver meridian. It has the effects of removing vexation and clearing the heart, clearing menstruation and relieving pain, activating blood circulation to dispel blood stasis, cooling blood and eliminating carbuncles (eliminating carbuncles by cooling blood). It is used for chest paralysis (stuffy pain in the chest), heartburn and insomnia, dystocia (pain in the area of coeruleus and ribs), heat paralysis (often manifested as burning, pain, redness and swelling of the joints and muscles), dysmenorrhea and menstrual occlusion, and swelling and pain of sores and ulcers.
