Quadruple therapy generally refers to a quadruple treatment regimen for the eradication of Hp (Helicobacter pylori), which treats Hp-related gastric problems.
The quadruple therapy program for Hp eradication includes 1 PPI (proton pump inhibitor) + 2 effective antibiotics + 1 bismuth agent. Among them, PPI includes omeprazole, lansoprazole, etc.; effective antibiotics include clarithromycin, amoxicillin, metronidazole, etc.; and bismuth agent includes bismuth potassium citrate, bismuth pectin, etc. Its course of treatment is 7~14 days.
This quadruple treatment regimen is suitable for gastric diseases associated with Hp infection, such as Hp-associated gastritis, Hp-associated gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and so on.
If you have gastric disease, you should consult the doctor in time and take standardized treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
