Indications for minimally invasive intervertebral foraminoscopic surgery include symptoms of nerve compression, lack of relief from conservative treatment, and normal vertebral structure. The advantages of minimally invasive intervertebral foraminoscopic surgery include minimal surgical trauma and rapid postoperative recovery. The main indications are clear symptoms of nerve compression (e.g., shoulder and back pain, upper extremity pain and numbness in the case of cervical spine compression, or lumbar spine compression, such as lumbar pain and leg pain, leg numbness, etc.). And patients who have not been relieved or aggravated by strict conservative treatment (just 6~8 weeks) before surgical treatment. Then there are patients with symptomatic or generally normal vertebral structures to avoid difficult placement of the access. And most importantly, the patient and family need to agree to proceed with the surgery and be willing to bear the risks of the surgery.
