Itchy and ulcerated toe seams are mostly due to a fungal infection called erosive tinea pedis. Tinea pedis is a fungal infection of the skin. Eczematous erosive tinea pedis is characterized by white impregnation of the toe crevices. After removal of the white impregnated cuticle on the surface, patients experience severe symptoms such as erythema, erosion, odor and itching. This is because the fungus prefers to grow and multiply between the toes where it is moist and warm, and where it parasitizes for extended periods of time, leading to thickening of the epidermal cuticle and whitening from maceration. Tinea pedis is a fungal infection that needs to be treated with antifungal medication. It can be treated with bifonazole or econazole nitrate. Patients should wash their feet, change their shoes and keep their feet dry in their normal life, and avoid sharing the foot basin with others. Itchy feet with peeling and ulceration need to consult a doctor in time, and actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
