What is a nodular adenoma of the left adrenal gland?

Left adrenal nodular adenoma is a neoplastic lesion of the adrenal gland. Adrenal adenomas are tumors caused by abnormal proliferation of adrenal cortical cells and can be functional or nonfunctional. Non-functional adrenal adenomas may have no obvious symptoms and are usually detected during physical examination; functional adrenal adenomas may have the manifestations of adrenocortical hyperfunction, such as excessive glucocorticoids, centripetal obesity, purple skin, osteoporosis, elevated blood glucose and other manifestations, and male patients may have symptoms of decreased libido and erectile dysfunction, while female patients may have symptoms of menstrual disorders and amenorrhea, and so on. Adrenal nodular adenoma is recommended to be treated under the guidance of a doctor when it occurs.
