Does complex endothelial hyperplasia require surgery?

Complex endometrial hyperplasia does not necessarily require surgical treatment. For patients with complex endometrial hyperplasia, the need for surgical treatment depends on the severity of the condition.

Complex endometrial hyperplasia is usually caused by relatively high estrogen levels, and patients tend to have endometrial hyperplasia disorders, simple hyperplasia, complex hyperplasia, or atypical endometrial hyperplasia.

For complicated endometrial hyperplasia, if there is only endometrial hyperplasia without other accompanying lesions, progesterone therapy can be chosen for treatment.

If the recurrence of complicated endometrial hyperplasia is accompanied by severe menstrual disorders, heavy menstruation, anemia, etc., which are not treated by medication, or if the patient has uterine fibroids or high risk factors for endometrial cancer, it is recommended that the patient undergoes surgical removal of the uterus in a timely manner.

Therefore, for patients with complicated endometrial hyperplasia, the specific treatment needs to be judged according to the patient’s specific condition after the doctor’s interview.
