The growth cycle of Ganoderma lucidum is about six to eight months under suitable conditions, and about ten months at lower temperatures in the wild. The growth of ganoderma lucidum is generally divided into three stages. The first stage is the mycelium period, i.e. the yellowish-white filaments produced by ganoderma lucidum after germination, which develops more vigorously when cultivated from February to March every year; the second stage is around May, when the buds emerge and enter into the cotyledonary stage of ganoderma lucidum; and the third stage enters into the sporangium stage around September, when the sporoderma lucidum spores begin to be sprayed with powdered spores. Ganoderma lucidum is sweet and flat in nature, and belongs to the heart, lung, liver and kidney meridians. It has the effects of tonifying the qi and tranquilizing the mind, as well as relieving cough and asthma (stopping coughing and calming wheezing); it is usually taken by decoction or powdered and swallowed. Its adverse effects and contraindications are not clear. It is recommended to take this product under the guidance of a Traditional Chinese Medicine physician, and it is not advisable to purchase and take this drug on your own to avoid adverse reactions.
