Side effects of Alfa Osteocortol Tablets include gastrointestinal reactions, liver dysfunction, jaundice, and renal failure.
Alfa Osteocortisol Tablets pass through enzymes in the liver and become active substances that bind to receptors to promote intestinal absorption of calcium, production of bone salts and osteogenesis, and are used in the treatment of chronic renal failure and osteoporosis, hypoparathyroidism, and other disorders caused by abnormal vitamin D metabolism.
Common gastrointestinal reactions include vomiting sensations, loss of appetite, stomach pain, and diarrhea. May cause hepatic dysfunction resulting in a rise in aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase and may trigger the appearance of jaundice. There may be the appearance of acute renal failure due to a rise in serum calcium.
Alfacalcitol tablets need to be used under the guidance of a medical professional and regular rechecks of liver and kidney function and blood calcium are recommended.
