Which is better, tubal embolization or tubal ligation?

Tubal embolization and tubal ligation do not have the argument of which one is better, each has its own advantages and disadvantages, and should be chosen according to the patient’s specific situation.

Tubal embolization is a method of blocking the fallopian tubes through the use of a certain blocking agent, which is injected into the lumen of the tubes, thus preventing the union of sperm and egg. This method has the advantages of simple operation, little trauma, low price and no need for hospitalization, but there is a possibility of movement and dislodgement.

Tubal ligation, on the other hand, involves dissecting the fallopian tubes through surgical instruments and then embedding the severed ends, so that the severed ends of the fallopian tubes are isolated from each other, thus achieving the purpose of completely blocking fertilization. This method of contraception is effective, but is relatively harmful, expensive and usually irreversible.

Patients who want to undergo tubal embolization and ligation are advised to go to a regular hospital, consult a professional doctor and take active treatment.
