Will a finger injury heal on its own?

The tendons of the fingers are usually called tendons, and when you injure a tendon in your finger, you will need to determine whether or not it will heal on its own, depending on the extent of the injury. If the sprain is mild, it can be recovered by resting and recuperating, but if the injury is more serious, it needs other treatments to repair.

1. Mild injury: the finger will not continue to move after the injury, rest well, usually can be self-healing.

2. Serious injury: the injured part has cut-like pain, swelling, affecting the movement of finger joints, need to be given to the finger part of the brace for immobilization, but also oral ibuprofen and other non-steroidal painkillers. If the examination finds that the tendon is completely ruptured, then the damaged tendon needs to be repaired surgically.

If the finger injury to the tendon pain persists unrelieved and accompanied by limited finger activities, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner to improve the relevant examinations, a clear diagnosis and standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor, to reduce the adverse effects. Drugs should be applied according to the doctor’s instructions.
