What Causes Mid-Menstrual Bleeding

The mid-period generally refers to the ovulation period, and the cause of ovulation bleeding may be physiological, or it may be caused by diseases of the endometrium. Bleeding during ovulation is usually caused by low estrogen levels in the body or by shedding of the uterine lining, and usually occurs in small amounts with no other discomforts, and can stop on its own in 2-3 days. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and generally does not require special treatment. However, if the bleeding is persistent, or accompanied by abdominal pain and other discomforts, we should consider that the abnormal vaginal bleeding symptoms caused by endometritis, cervicitis, vaginitis and other diseases. Bleeding caused by such pathologic reasons is usually more voluminous and requires prompt treatment, and usually cannot recover on its own. If there is abnormal bleeding during ovulation, the amount is relatively large or accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time for appropriate treatment.
