Cure rate of pleural interstitial tumors

If it is a benign limited pleurocutaneous mesothelioma, the cure rate is relatively high, while diffuse malignant pleurocutaneous mesothelioma has a poor prognosis and is not easily cured, with a survival rate of 20% in the early stage, 16% in the middle stage, and 8% in the late stage within 5 years. If the pleurocutaneous mesothelioma is only benign, the cure rate is relatively high, with a cure rate of 90% or more. Malignant diffuse pleural mesothelioma cannot be completely cured and most patients have a poorer prognosis and can only be treated to prolong survival. Early stage malignant pleural mesothelioma can have a survival rate of 20% within 5 years, intermediate stage can have a survival rate of 16% within 5 years, and advanced stage can have a survival rate of 8% within 5 years, so the overall prognosis is poor. After the detection of pleural mesothelioma, it is necessary to consult the doctor in time and understand the nature of the tumor through relevant examination. If it is benign, it is recommended to remove it by surgery in time; if it is malignant, it is necessary to carry out radiotherapy as soon as possible after the surgery.
