What’s wrong with unilateral ankle edema and burning?

Unilateral edema and burning of the ankle may be caused by trauma, gout, venous thrombosis of the lower extremity, cellular tissue and so on. 1. Trauma: Ankle injury may cause local ligament damage, soft tissue injury, fracture, dislocation, etc., resulting in localized bruising and inflammation of the affected ankle, resulting in edema and burning. 2. Gout: Long-term high uric acid may lead to accumulation of uric acid, causing gouty arthritis, which may be manifested as unilateral ankle edema or even hot, and may be accompanied by localized pressure and pain, activity restriction and other symptoms. 3. Lower extremity venous thrombosis: it can cause venous return obstruction in the lower extremity, thus causing localized edema and burning of the affected ankle. 4. Cellulitis: also known as dengue, which can be manifested as redness, swelling, heat, pain and other symptoms on one side of the ankle. We can’t rule out other causes of ankle edema, so we recommend timely consultation, improve the relevant examination, identify the causes and actively treat the primary disease, so as not to delay the condition.
