What color is the urine of a newborn with jaundice

The urine of a newborn with jaundice depends on the degree of jaundice. If the jaundice is not severe, the urine is the same as that of a normal newborn without jaundice, with a pale yellow or even clearer color. If the newborn is particularly jaundiced, the urine color may be dark yellow, such as hemolytic jaundice, RH hemolytic disease or ABO hemolytic disease, the color of the urine of these newborns is even light tea-colored or soy sauce-colored urine. Generally newborns wear disposable diapers, so the color of urine is not easy for parents to detect, but if the jaundice is very heavy, it can be seen directly from the color of the skin. If the child is dark yellow, which is yellowish green, it may be a disease of the liver and gallbladder, when the urine is not necessarily yellow, and in fact the child’s jaundice is still relatively heavy.
