What kind of people should not take Fangji Huangqi soup

The contraindications of Fenghi Huangqi Tang are not clear. It can be used for wind-dampness (sudden edema of the head, face and limbs) that is due to deficiency of the epidermis (weakness of the muscular epidermis that leads to abnormal sweating), or wind-water (sudden edema of the head, face and limbs), and it is not suitable for those who suffer from congestion of water-dampness and severe swelling.
Fenghi Huangqi Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber”, composed of Fenghi, Atractylodes macrocephala, Glycyrrhiza glabra and Astragalus membranaceus, which is effective in dispelling wind and benefiting the qi, inducing diuresis and strengthening the spleen, and can be used to treat wind-dampness or wind-hydrosis with deficiency of the epidermis and lack of consolidation of the wind.
In this formula, Fang Ji wins dampness, dispels wind-dampness and relieves pain; Astragalus consolidates the surface and benefits qi and promotes diuresis; Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae strengthens the spleen, replenishes qi and dispels dampness; Glycyrrhiza Glabra benefits qi and zhong (replenishes qi and regulates the spleen and stomach) and regulates all medicines (regulates the properties of different herbs). The combination of all the herbs has the effect of dispelling wind, tonifying Qi, inducing diuresis and strengthening the spleen.
Please do not use the medicine on your own. If you feel unwell, it is recommended that you seek medical advice from a hospital to avoid any adverse effects of taking the medicine privately.
