Ovarian examination is mainly to check the structure of the ovaries and assess the ovarian function, which can be done by ultrasound, sex hormone six and other tests.
If the patient is married or has a history of sexual intercourse, she can choose to have a vaginal ultrasound, the results will be clearer, and she can understand the size of the ovaries, and also see if there are any cysts or tumors. If the patient has not had sex, a transabdominal ultrasound or transrectal ultrasound can be done. Patients can also choose to have an ultrasound during the ovulation period to observe the number of follicles, so as to determine how the ovarian reserve function is.
Patients can also have a sex hormone panel or gonadotropin-releasing hormone stimulation test to check ovarian function. The sex hormone test requires a fasting blood draw on the morning of the second to third day after the start of menstruation, and the gonadotropin-releasing hormone test requires an injection of luteinizing hormone, followed by time-period testing of luteinizing hormone status.
Patients are advised to have regular medical checkups, seek timely medical attention for any uncomfortable symptoms, and actively cooperate with various tests to diagnose the disease.
