Lateral lumbar spine radiographs: The main purpose is to check the screws on both sides, whether there is any phenomenon such as pulling out or backing out of the screws, whether there is any lumbar spine slippage, and whether there is any bone scab formation in the fused vertebrae. Lumbar fusion, mainly for patients with lumbar disc herniation or severe lumbar spinal stenosis. These patients usually have obvious lumbar pain and soreness and numbness in the buttocks, the back of the thighs, and the back of the calves, which may cause intermittent claudication in severe cases, or even the inability to stand up, and seriously affect their lives.
