Nourishing Yin and Clearing Lung Pill is not generally used to treat wind-cold cough, and patients with wind-cold cough are advised to seek prompt medical attention.
It has the effects of nourishing yin and clearing the lungs (removing lung heat by nourishing the fluid in the lungs), clearing heat and relieving sore throat. It is mainly used for the treatment of dry and sore throat, dry cough with little phlegm.
It is not recommended for diabetic patients; it is also not recommended for people with phlegm-dampness congestion, which is manifested as thick and sticky phlegm, or thick and lumpy phlegm. Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy, cold, greasy food. It is not recommended to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time.
