What to buy at the drugstore for gout

Gout is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, follow the doctor’s instructions to take medication, do not go to the pharmacy to buy drugs to take, so as not to aggravate the condition. At present, the commonly used drugs are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as diclofenac sodium), colchicine, glucocorticosteroids (such as prednisone), drugs to promote excretion of uric acid (such as phenylbromarone) and inhibit the production of uric acid (such as febuxostat) and so on, in order to improve the condition.
1. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): commonly used are diclofenac sodium, sodium rosoprofen, etc. They have antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects, which can improve the pain of inflammation in joints, and are not recommended to be used for a long period of time, and alcohol should be avoided during the period of taking the drugs.
2. Colchicine: It can reduce the release of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes to control the inflammatory reaction. Because colchicine can cause gastrointestinal discomfort, it is recommended to take it after meals.
3. Glucocorticoids: commonly used are prednisone, hydrocortisone, etc., which have strong anti-inflammatory effects. It is not recommended to use a large amount of long-term, so as not to lead to osteoporosis, gastrointestinal reactions, hypertension, diabetes and other adverse reactions
4. Promote uric acid excretion drugs: commonly used for benzbromarone, probenecid, etc., can inhibit uric acid reabsorption through renal tubules, increase uric acid excretion, reduce blood uric acid. Uric acid stones should not be used.
5. Inhibition of uric acid synthesis drugs: commonly used drugs are febuxostat, allopurinol, etc., can inhibit xanthine oxidase, blocking hypoxanthine, xanthine into uric acid, thereby reducing blood uric acid levels. Adverse reactions mainly include liver function abnormalities, diarrhea and so on.
Gout is recommended to consult a doctor in time, follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the use of medication, do not take medication without authorization.
