Leukorrhea that looks like yogurt may be associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa vaginitis. Normal leukorrhea is egg-white or white paste-like, with no fishy odor, small amount, and increases 2 to 3 days before and after menstruation, during ovulation, or during pregnancy. When the vagina is infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, vulvovaginitis characterized by a thick white discharge can occur. Leukorrhea appears as yellowish-white in color, mostly thick and sticky in texture, typically milky, like curd-like white flakes or lumps, or like soya bean residue, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching or burning pain, and severe fidgeting, which is more pronounced at night. When leukorrhea like yogurt occurs, it is recommended to seek medical attention, follow the doctor’s instructions for further examination, clarify the cause with the doctor’s help, and carry out targeted treatment or therapy.
