High serum uric acid and serum creatine kinase may be due to gout, acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis and other diseases.
1. Normal values of uric acid are 150-416 μmol/L for male adult males; 89-357 μmol/L for females, with postmenopausal females close to males.
If the test value is high, it may be due to impaired excretion of serum uric acid caused by acute and chronic nephritis, kidney stones, urinary tract obstruction and other diseases; impaired production of serum uric acid caused by gout, chronic leukemia, multiple myeloma and other diseases; or excessive intake of high-purine foods.
2. The normal value of serum creatine kinase is 50~310U/L for men and 40~200U/L for women. If the test value is high, it may be due to acute myocardial infarction, myocarditis, polymyositis, progressive myotonic dystrophy, surgery, electrical resuscitation and other conditions.
In case of elevated serum uric acid and serum creatine kinase, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for standardized treatment under doctor’s guidance.
