Where to Massage Liver Qi Stagnation

Liver qi stagnation (poor qi and blood transportation in the liver, emotional depression) can be massaged at the Tai Chong point, Xing Ma point, and Xie Men point. Tai Chong is located on the dorsal area of the foot, between the 1st and 2nd metatarsal bones, in the anterior depression of the union of the metatarsal bases. The main effects are to lower liver fire and move liver qi. The main treatments include headache, dizziness, redness and swelling of the eyes, dryness and pain of the eyes, deafness and tinnitus, menstrual disorders and other conditions where the liver meridian is full of fire. Xingma acupoint is located on the dorsum of the foot, between the 1st and 2nd toes, behind the edge of the web of the toes at the junction of the palm of the hand and the back of the hand, and the heart of the foot and the back of the foot.
