What Causes Flatulence

Flatulence may be caused by physiological factors or pathological factors such as chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, gastric tumors and so on. 1. Physiological factors: due to poor dietary habits, too much undigested food, resulting in food can not be completely digested, fermentation in the stomach to produce too much gas, thus causing flatulence. 2. Pathologic factors (1) Chronic gastritis: due to chronic gastritis, the peristaltic function of the gastrointestinal tract is weakened, resulting in the accumulation of excess food in the stomach, stimulating excessive secretion of gastric acid, stimulating the gastric mucosal nerves and triggering gastric flatulence. (2) Gastric ulcer: If the ulcer in the gastric sinus is easy to cause narrowing, the gastric gas or gastric contents will be blocked from discharging, which will lead to gastric flatulence. (3) Gastric tumor: Tumor invasion of gastric wall causes decrease in peristalsis and restriction of emptying, which leads to accumulation of food in the stomach and stimulation of nerves, resulting in the feeling of flatulence. It is recommended to have a reasonable diet in daily life, and if the flatulence is not relieved in a short period of time, it is recommended to go to the hospital for consultation to avoid delaying the condition.
