What happens when my breasts suddenly feel itchy during the month?

Symptoms of itchy breasts during the menstrual period can be caused by inflammatory irritation or due to changes in the body’s hormone levels.
During the menstrual period, the irritation caused by the baby’s sucking, combined with the wetness of the milk and sometimes the baby’s sucking and biting of the breast, can increase the invasion of bacteria causing mastitis, which in turn leads to red and itchy breast skin.
Sometimes a fungal infection in the baby’s mouth (thrush) can spread to the breast and cause itchy breasts.
