Fetal movement means that the fetus can show various activities in the uterus. Generally, kicking is counted as one fetal movement, and if it is a continuous movement, it is counted as one fetal movement.
Pregnant women usually start to feel fetal movement from 18-20 weeks of pregnancy, and the number of times gradually increases to reach the peak at 29-38 weeks. There are two methods of counting fetal movements, one is to count fetal movements within 2 hours, and 10 movements are considered satisfactory. The other is to count for one hour at regular intervals in the morning, midday and evening. If the number of movements is greater than 3 per hour, the fetus is in good condition.
Fetal movement refers to all kinds of activities of the fetus in the uterus, including whole body movement, limb movement, breathing movement, head and neck movement, yawning, sucking, swallowing and eructation, etc., which is a kind of subjective sensation, and usually kicking is regarded as one time of fetal movement, and if it is a continuous movement, it should be counted as one time of fetal movement.
If the fetal movement is regular, with little change, and the number of fetal movements is within the normal range, you can continue to observe. If abnormal fetal movement occurs, such as too frequent or reduced fetal movement, it is recommended to consult a doctor in time, follow the doctor’s instructions for further examination, with the help of the doctor to clarify the cause, and carry out targeted treatment or therapy.
