Children with symptoms such as weak qi, loose stools, and little food can drink soup with astragalus. But without the above symptoms, it is not recommended to take it.
Astragalus can replenish qi and yang, generate fluid and nourish blood (replenish the body’s water and blood), and support pus and muscle growth. Astragalus in soup is suitable for patients with qi deficiency, loose stools, little food, mental lethargy, cough and shortness of breath, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by the slightest movement of sweating), and easy to catch a cold; and it is suitable for patients with deficiency of qi and blood, and with yellowish color (yellowish color with no luster).
However, it is not recommended to use Astragalus in soup for small children who have colds and fevers, sores and ulcers at the beginning of their lives, or who have internal stagnation. Do not eat spicy and greasy food during the use of Astragalus. The dosage of Astragalus in soup is limited and generally does not have a therapeutic effect.
Before using astragalus in soup, children need to have professional doctor’s guidance, do not take it blindly.
