4.6 mostly refers to the patient’s visual acuity. If a child develops myopia, whether it can be corrected is related to the nature of the child’s myopia. Generally, pseudomyopia can be restored, but true myopia can not be reversed, and the patient can correct myopia and improve his visual acuity by wearing spectacles or undergoing surgery. 1. Pseudomyopia: children can have pseudomyopia due to ciliary muscle spasm caused by long-term excessive eye use. Relaxing the ciliary muscle through localized hot compresses on the eyes and gazing into the distance can restore orthopia and improve vision. 2. True myopia: Children with true myopia may have long anterior and posterior diameters of the eyeballs, which cannot be reversed at present, and therefore cannot be corrected to a normal state. However, myopia can be corrected through prescription of glasses to improve vision. Children with myopia are advised to consult a doctor for evaluation of their condition and regular treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
