How autistic children are treated

There are no effective drug or surgical treatments for autistic children, and the main focus is on training and rehabilitation, including natural education method and behavioral substitution therapy:
1. Natural education method: The training focusing on autistic children should be carried out in a non-artificial environment, and the children should be encouraged to join in the training process as much as possible, so as to play the role of demonstration and reinforcement. They should be trained to master basic social life and learning skills, such as going to the toilet, buying things, eating, social rules, etc., so as to alleviate their social barriers and enable them to achieve basic self-care in life, and some children can even return to society.
2. Behavioral substitution therapy: The training method is to replace unconstructive and meaningless behaviors with constructive and meaningful behaviors. For example, the autistic child’s behavior of repeatedly tearing paper can be replaced by playing with blocks, which not only eliminates the meaningless behavior of repeatedly tearing paper, but also enhances the dexterity of the hands and develops the brain at the same time.
Some behaviors of autistic children are expressed in inappropriate ways at inappropriate times and places. Teachers or parents can guide them to learn the basic language they need to express their needs as an alternative to inappropriate behaviors.
There may also be other treatments for children with autism. It is recommended to visit a hospital in time to improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
