There are no large sample experimental studies to determine whether MRI can damage fetal hearing. Currently available studies indicate that no abnormalities have been found in biological effects testing of organisms exposed to certain magnetic field strengths. The currently available simulated experimental studies indicate that prenatal MRI does not pose a significant risk of fetal hearing damage. However, there are no large samples of experiments that have examined whether MRI exams can damage fetal hearing. However, multinational guidelines consider the first trimester of pregnancy when the fetus is at a critical stage of organ formation and development, and MRI is not advocated at this stage. Therefore, MRI is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, MRI can be performed if necessary.
