The dangers of head surgery

The skull is the most important organ in the human body, and inside the skull is the brain and nerve tissue. If an operation is performed, it may cause intracranial hemorrhage or damage to the nerves, resulting in postoperative brain herniation, or sensory-motor damage, resulting in the patient’s inability to awaken, or it may result in the patient having impaired speech and impaired physical activity. There is also the possibility of respiratory depression, leading to death. However, if head surgery is required, it is often because the disease has to be operated on. Surgery, although risky, may be the only way and the only chance to cure the disease, so patients should not be afraid of surgery on the cranial region.
