The fastest way to recover from facial neuritis

There is no absolute fastest way to recover from facial neuritis. Usually, general treatment, medication and surgery can be used for recovery.
1. General treatment
(1) Patients should massage the affected muscles with their own hands in front of a mirror for 5 to 10 minutes several times a day. When the nerve function starts to recover, the patient can practice the random movement of each single facial muscle that is paralyzed.
(2) Peripheral facial paralysis can not close the eyes, blinking, due to corneal exposure and dryness, easy to lead to infection. Eye shields, eye drops and eye ointment can be used to protect the exposed cornea and prevent infection.
2.Drug treatment
(1) Glucocorticoid: Prednisolone is commonly used to help stop or reduce neurodegeneration, minimize sequelae and relieve pain, and contribute to the early recovery of facial nerve function.
(2) Antiviral drugs: can promote the recovery of facial nerve function, commonly used acyclovir, vasiclovir and so on.
(3) B vitamins: Vitamin B1, vitamin B12, etc. can be used to nourish the nerve and promote nerve regeneration.
3. Surgical treatment: After non-surgical treatments such as medication, those with facial muscle paralysis that does not improve can consider adopting surgical treatments such as facial nerve decompression surgery.
Suffering from facial neuritis need to consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of professional doctors for reasonable treatment and rehabilitation.
