The manifestations of peritoneal metastasis of colon cancer include: abdominal mass, abdominal pain and abdominal pressure, large amount of peritoneal fluid, systemic manifestations and so on. 1. Abdominal mass: peritoneal metastasis of colon cancer is mostly caused by intra-abdominal dissemination of the tumor through the intestinal wall, and patients may find abdominal mass on palpation, which is hard in texture and unclear in boundary. 2. Abdominal pain and abdominal pressure: when colon cancer peritoneal metastasis occurs, especially when combined with spontaneous intestinal fistula, there will be abdominal pain and pressure pain, sometimes accompanied by abdominal muscle tension. 3. Large amount of peritoneal fluid: peritoneal metastasis of colon cancer may lead to increased permeability of peritoneal blood vessels, coupled with increased secretion of tumor cells, a large amount of fluid exudes to form peritoneal fluid, and the patient may have a large amount of ascites such as abdominal distension and difficulty in breathing, and the puncture is mostly bloody ascites. 4. Systemic manifestations: peritoneal metastasis of colon cancer indicates that it is already in the advanced stage of cancer, and patients can have a series of systemic symptoms, such as edema of lower limbs, fatigue, emaciation, anemia, cachexia and so on.
