Leg pain after hemodialysis may be caused by excessive dialysis ultrafiltration, hypocalcemia, long dialysis interval and so on. 1. Excessive dialysis ultrafiltration: excessive dialysis ultrafiltration in hemodialysis leads to decrease in effective circulating blood volume and poor local blood circulation, resulting in leg pain after hemodialysis. 2. Hypocalcemia: the decrease of blood calcium and blood magnesium after hemodialysis leads to hypocalcemia, which causes muscle twitching and the patient may have leg pain after hemodialysis. 3. Long dialysis interval: long dialysis interval leads to accumulation of toxins in the body, and too fast decrease of toxins in the process of dialysis can cause leg pain after hemodialysis, and dizziness and headache may also occur in long-term dialysis.
