Diabetic patients’ wounds usually do not heal easily for the following reasons: 1. poorer defense function, poorer leukocyte or cellular immunity and humoral immunity, and the chemotaxis and phagocytosis of leukocytes cannot be compared with normal cells; 2. damage to both blood vessels and nerves, and the blood supply and neuromodulation function at the injury site are lower than normal, so the repair function is poorer; 3. patients’ blood and tissues are good culture media for bacteria, i.e. bacteria are especially easy to grow in this environment, and infection is more difficult to control, so wounds do not heal easily.
