The HFMD vaccine, i.e. enterovirus 71 vaccine, is not recommended for people who are allergic to the components of this vaccine, people with fever, or people with allergies.
The HFMD vaccine is an inactivated vaccine against enterovirus EV71, and is more commonly administered to children between the ages of six months and three years. HFMD vaccination can stimulate the body to produce antibodies and effectively prevent HFMD caused by EV71 infection. According to the instruction manual, the use of this vaccine is strictly prohibited in the following cases:
1. Allergy to vaccine components: known allergy to any of the components of this vaccine, and gentamicin allergy.
2. Patients with fever, acute illness and acute onset of chronic diseases.
3. Severe chronic diseases, allergy is prohibited.
