Whether it is a single collection or a mixed test, the swab needs to be present in the tube with the diluent, and opening the lid is the first step in preserving the sample. 2. Place the head, i.e. the swab and the upper part of the swab, into the tube carefully, avoiding the sample touching the outside of the tube. 3. To break, align the head with the top of the tube according to the scribed lines and press down in one direction to break the head of the collector. 4. Close the lid. After the head of the collector has fallen off, the lid should be closed carefully and confirmed to avoid leakage of solution.
