Best time for breast cancer surgery

The incidence rate of breast cancer is increasing year by year, and the incidence rate of Asian women is higher than the global average. The timing for breast cancer patients to undergo surgery is as follows: 1. After detecting resectable lesions in patients with early stage of breast cancer, perfecting the preoperative examination, and ruling out common complications and contraindications, surgery is preferred; 2. Surgery is not suitable for large lumps or first diagnosis of stage Ⅳ. However, in locally advanced stage or other cases, surgery can be performed according to the timing after downstaging through neoadjuvant and other treatments; 3. Patients with the first diagnosis of stage IV can also undergo surgery when metastatic foci are isolated and the prognosis is good or the survival period is long.
