The width of the alveolar bone, i.e. the proximal and distal mesial diameters of the bone should be decided in combination with the implant and the own bone condition, and in general should meet the diameter of the implant and the distance of the implant from the right and left neighboring teeth of at least 1.5mm. And the healthy bone thickness of the labiobuccal, lingual and palatal sides of the implant should be not less than 1.5cm, in addition, there should be enough bone between the implants, between the implants and the natural teeth, and between the implants and the important tissues and structures, as follows. To ensure good osseointegration between the implant and the jawbone, the bone on the labial, buccal, lingual and palatal sides of the implant should be healthy and have a thickness of at least 1.5cm. In addition, the distance between the implants should be not less than 3mm and the distance between the implants and the natural neighboring teeth should be not less than 2mm. It should be noted that the root end of the mandibular implant should not be less than 2mm from the upper edge of the mandibular canal. If the thickness of the alveolar bone in the maxillary molar region is less than 8mm, maxillary sinus floor elevation should be performed to increase the bone volume before maxillary implantation. It is recommended to go to the hospital to receive regular treatment.
