Proprietary Chinese medicines for nine body types

There is no such thing as a proprietary Chinese medicine that corresponds to the nine types of constitution, and the use of proprietary Chinese medicines needs to be symptomatic. For example, for kidney yang deficiency, we can use Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pills, and for liver and gallbladder dampness and heat (dampness and heat accumulated in the liver and gallbladder), we can use Gentian and Liver Pills, and so on. Traditional Chinese medicine categorizes the body type into nine types: Harmony, Yang Deficiency, Yin Deficiency, Qi Deficiency, Phlegm Dampness, Damp-Heat, Qi Depression, Blood Stasis, and Endowment. There is no such thing as a proprietary Chinese medicine that corresponds to each of the nine types of constitution, and the medicine should be chosen according to the patient’s constitution and condition. For example, people with Yang deficiency may be more prone to symptoms of kidney yang deficiency, so they can use Jin Gui Ren Qi Pills; people with Damp-Heat quality may be more prone to symptoms of Damp-Heat in the liver and gallbladder, so they can use Gentian Diarrhea and Liver Pills. There is no good or bad in all kinds of physique, it is only a kind of physique categorization of susceptibility to diseases, and proprietary Chinese medicines need to be taken under the guidance of doctors, and should not be purchased and used on their own, so as to avoid any adverse effects.
