What to do about nasal tumors

Nasal tumors are malignant tumors of the mucous membrane of the nasopharynx and usually present with nodular polymorphic features. Nasal tumors can cause great harm to human body. For the treatment of nasal tumor, the first step is to clarify the diagnosis and take radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery according to the situation. When a tumor grows in the nasal cavity, CT and biopsy should be taken first to determine its benignity and malignancy. The scope of the lesion should be determined, and then the treatment plan should be taken according to different types of tumors. For patients with malignant tumor in nasal cavity, if the tumor is limited, radiation therapy alone is feasible, and its 5-year survival rate can be more than 75%. For patients with more extensive tumor infiltration, radical resection plus preoperative or postoperative chemotherapy and radiotherapy are appropriate, and the 5-year survival rate can also reach 40%-50%. If patients can take surgical treatment, it is recommended to perform surgery immediately. Surgery is to remove the tumor to improve the survival rate of patients. And regular review should be done to prevent the tumor from deterioration or attack. Nasal tumor deterioration usually experiences a long time. It is recommended to discover relevant symptoms and go to regular hospital in time to prevent further deterioration and poor treatment effect. Nasal tumor first takes radiotherapy and chemotherapy. If the disease is serious, surgery will be taken.
