What is a tetanus shot?

Tetanus shot is tetanus antitoxin. Main components: essentially belongs to the immunoglobulin class, belongs to the gastric enzyme treatment of equine tetanus. There are two routes of inoculation; subcutaneous injection is given at the upper arm deltoid muscle attachment, and intramuscular injection should be given in the middle of the upper arm deltoid muscle or the upper outer part of the gluteus maximus muscle. Inoculation of the drug may cause adverse reactions such as convulsions, coma, vomiting, diarrhea and high fever, and is contraindicated in people who are allergic to the product. If a positive allergy test occurs, it should be used with caution or the desensitization injection method should be applied. After inoculation, the patient should remain at the site of inoculation for 30 minutes.
