Is celandine a traditional Chinese medicine?

Xisanren, or sand nuts, belongs to traditional Chinese medicine. Sand nut is the dried mature fruit of the plant Yangchun sand, green shell sand or Hainan sand of the ginger family Sand nut. It has the efficacy of resolving dampness and moving qi (removing dampness to run the qi), warming the middle Jiao to stop diarrhea (warming the middle Jiao to stop diarrhea), and stabilizing the fetus. It is mainly used for treating stagnant spleen and stomach qi (obstruction of the qi of the spleen and stomach), dampness obstructing the middle jiao (dampness obstructing the functions of the spleen and stomach), coldness of the spleen and stomach (spleen and stomach being weak and cold), vomiting, and restlessness of the fetus. This product is usually used internally in decoction soup, but should not be decocted for a long time; or into pills and bulk. It should be noted that vitamin C can decompose the glycosides contained in sand nuts into glycosides and sugar, thus affecting the efficacy, so it should not be used together. It is recommended that patients who need to use this drug go to the Chinese medicine department, follow the doctor’s instructions to use, not blindly use their own medicine.
