The difference between Spleen Deficiency and Spleen Dampness lies mainly in the different causes and clinical symptoms. Spleen deficiency syndrome is caused by insufficient spleen qi, while spleen dampness syndrome is mainly caused by spleen deficiency and dampness; both spleen deficiency syndrome and spleen dampness syndrome can be seen in symptoms such as abdominal distension, low food intake, and loose stools (thin and unshaped feces), and spleen dampness syndrome can be seen in symptoms such as head and body heaviness (heaviness of the head and limbs), nausea and vomiting, and swelling of the limbs. Spleen deficiency syndrome refers to the deficiency of spleen qi and dysfunction of transportation and digestion; clinical manifestations include reduced diet, indigestion, abdominal distension, and aggravation after meals. Clinical manifestations include decreased diet, indigestion, abdominal distension, aggravation after meals, loose stools, tiredness of the limbs, lack of breath and laziness (lack of strength, not wanting to speak), yellowish color (yellowish color without luster), and thinness of the body. Spleen Dampness Syndrome, i.e. Spleen Deficiency and Dampness Syndrome, mostly develops on the basis of Spleen-Qi deficiency (weakness of Spleen-Qi). When Spleen-Qi deficiency cannot transport and transform water-dampness, water-dampness fills up the body, and manifestations such as head and body drowsiness, nausea and vomiting, tightness of the chest, and swelling of limbs are seen. Spleen deficiency and spleen dampness are closely related, both can be seen in abdominal distension, low food intake, and loose stools. Spleen dampness is developed from spleen deficiency, and it can also be seen in drowsiness of head and body, nausea and vomiting, chest tightness and plumpness (stomach fullness and discomfort), and swelling of limbs, and other symptoms. The above symptoms need to go to the hospital in time, and individuals should not diagnose or use medication on their own to avoid delaying their condition.
