Neonatal heat rash and eczema are different in terms of causes, symptoms, and treatment. 1. Eczema is an allergic inflammatory reaction caused by a variety of internal and external factors of uncertain etiology. 2. Symptoms: Heat rash manifested as dense papule-like blisters on erythema, accompanied by obvious itching. Mostly appear in clothing covered or repeated friction areas such as the neck, armpits, waist, trunk and groin and so on. Eczema is often characterized by erythema, scattered or clustered red papules and blisters, and in severe cases, oozing more, revealing red, moist vesicles. It can occur on any part of the body surface, mostly symmetrically distributed, commonly found on the head and face, behind the ears, distal limbs, hands and feet, perineum, anus and other places. 3. Treatment: Heat rash: Keeping the local area cool and reducing clothing coverage can reduce the symptoms. The rash usually takes 1 week to resolve completely. Wearing light-colored, loose-fitting, clean clothing and avoiding perspiration can prevent heat rash. Avoid talcum powder or baby powder. If the eczema exudes a lot of fluid, you can use aluminum acetate solution diluted wet compresses; when the skin is red and itchy without vesicles and oozing, you can rub glycerine lotion and so on.
