Four types of fever in children and how to handle them

There are no four types of fever in children, the common types of fever are retained fever, flaccid fever, intermittent fever, irregular fever, etc., which need to be treated symptomatically, and at the same time, the cause of fever should be clarified, and targeted treatment should be given, such as medication, chemotherapy and so on. 1. Auditory fever: persistent fever, small changes in temperature, usually not more than 0.6 ℃. It is common in lobar pneumonia, typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever. 2. Flaccid fever: refers to the change of body temperature usually goes up and down 2~3℃, but does not fall into the normal range. Flaccid fever can be seen in septicemia, rheumatic fever and so on. 3. Intermittent fever: the body temperature returns to normal and then fever again, which can be seen in malaria, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and so on. 4. Irregular fever fever: no regularity, duration is not the same, the body temperature is usually between 37 ℃ ~ 40 ℃, may be related to infectious diseases, such as bronchopneumonia, influenza, infective endocarditis. Children with fever, if the body temperature does not exceed 38.5 degrees, can be taken to physical cooling treatment, such as head placement of antipyretic patches, warm water baths and so on. If the temperature exceeds 38.5 degrees, you can follow the doctor’s instructions to use antipyretic drugs such as ibuprofen and other cooling treatment. At the same time, we should consult a doctor in time to clarify the cause of the child’s fever, and give targeted treatment, such as medication, chemotherapy and so on.
