The correct way to use Chenpi in water is to take appropriate amount of Chenpi into a cup and add boiling water to brew it. Chenpi in water can help to regulate qi and strengthen the spleen (to regulate qi and strengthen the spleen), and dry dampness and resolve phlegm (to dispel phlegm in the body with dampness-drying medicine). Chenpi is a medicine that belongs to the spleen meridian and lung meridian, with pungent and bitter flavor and warm nature. Chenpi in water can help dissolve phlegm-dampness and relieve cough and phlegm caused by phlegm-dampness; it can also regulate qi and help relieve eructation (hiccups) and vomiting; and it can strengthen the spleen and relieve lack of appetite, abdominal distension, and stomach and epigastric pains (pains occurring in the stomach area close to the heart’s sockets) caused by a weak spleen, and so on. Although Chenpi in water has the above effects, the effective dosage of the infusion is limited and it is difficult to achieve the above effects, so it is recommended to use it under the guidance and help of a doctor.
