1. Clinical manifestations There were 65 cases with cranial hypertension symptoms, including 26 cases with neurological dysfunction. There were 23 cases with epilepsy onset: 16 cases with grand mal seizures and 7 cases with partial seizures. 2.Site The tumor was located in frontal lobe in 13 cases, insula in 8 cases, temporal lobe in 15 cases, parietal lobe in 16 cases, temporoparietal lobe in 6 cases, occipital lobe in 11 cases, temporo-occipital lobe in 14 cases, and intracerebroventricular triangle in 4 cases. 3. Relationship between cysts and tumors. There were two types of cysts according to the size of the parenchymal part of the cyst wall: one was mainly cystic occupancy with no obvious nodules in the cyst wall; the other was tumor parenchyma next to the cyst. There were 29 cases of the first type: 2 cases of ventricular meningioma, 5 cases of oligodendroglioma, 3 cases of hemangioblastoma, 12 cases of supratentorial astrocytoma, 1 case of cerebellar astrocytoma, and 6 cases of metastatic carcinoma (5 cases without primary focus and 1 case of renal cancer origin). There were two types of cysts based on the distance between the cyst and the cortical surface: deep cysts, i.e., distance greater than 4 cm, in 18 cases, 14 cases in the temporo-occipital lobe, 2 cases in the delta, and 2 cases in the temporoparietal lobe; superficial cysts, i.e., distance less than 4 cm, in 69 cases. 4. Treatment All cases were removed craniotomically. The operation followed the principle of minimally invasive, and was entered from the nearest sulcus with the assistance of surgical microscope, neuronavigation system, cortical electrical stimulation and functional magnetic resonance, and the cystic fluid was firstly aspirated and decompressed, and the cystic wall of the tumor with cyst as the main manifestation was biopsied in stages, and the decision of whether to perform cystic wall resection and how much to resect was made according to its results. The results will determine whether to perform cyst wall resection and how much to resect.
