Generally speaking, fetal movement at 17 weeks of pregnancy occurs occasionally and less frequently, and the sensation of fetal movement is relatively mild, similar to the feeling of flatulence or intestinal peristalsis, and lasts for a shorter period of time with no regularity. Fetal movement is an indication of the presence of signs of life of the fetus, including various activities of the fetus in the mother’s body. Fetal movement usually occurs between 18 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, but a few pregnant women may feel fetal movement as early as 17 weeks of pregnancy.
