What causes seasonal flu

Seasonal flu is generally referred to as influenza. Influenza is caused by influenza virus infection. It is seasonal in nature, often occurring in winter and spring in the north, while in the south it can be prevalent throughout the year, and the population is generally susceptible due to the high mutation rate.
The viruses that cause seasonal influenza are mainly the A/H1N1 and A/H3N2 subtypes of influenza A viruses and influenza B viruses, which are mainly transmitted through contact and airborne droplets. Influenza A viruses often cause pandemics and severe illness, while influenza B viruses cause epidemics and epidemics and relatively mild illness. Due to the rapid change of antigenic properties of influenza viruses, human beings are unable to acquire long-lasting immunity.
Influenza is mainly characterized by an acute onset of symptoms of toxicity such as chills, high fever, headache, dizziness, generalized aches and pains, and fatigue. Nasopharyngeal symptoms are mild and may include loss of appetite. The main treatment is to use neuraminidase inhibitors such as oseltamivir, and at the same time to pay attention to rest, drink more water, increase nutrition and other general supportive treatment.
When the diagnosis of influenza is confirmed, active treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor, and attention should be paid to wearing masks when going out and opening windows to ventilate the room.
