Does amenorrhea have anything to do with sex?

Amenorrhea has nothing to do with sex. The absence of menstruation during pre-puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding and post-menopause is a normal physiological phenomenon called physiological amenorrhea. Other than that, amenorrhea is a pathologic phenomenon caused by mental factors, lifestyle, medications, diseases, and anatomical abnormalities of the reproductive system, and it has nothing to do with sexual intercourse. Amenorrhea is a common gynecological symptom, which may be accompanied by nipple discharge, hair loss, headache and other symptoms, and refers to the phenomenon that menstruation has never occurred or has ceased after the establishment of the menstrual cycle. It is recommended that patients with symptoms of amenorrhea should go to the hospital in time for a pregnancy test, drug withdrawal test and pituitary gland stimulation test to determine the cause of the disease. After determining the cause of amenorrhea, doctors will give psycho-psychological counseling, progesterone therapy, and inhibit the secretion of prolactin and other treatments according to the cause of the disease.
